Assistant Transportation Manager

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist Transportation Manager with all aspects of trucking department
- Answer all office calls
- Dispatch drivers
- Create daily driver schedule
- File all necessary quarterly & annual reports
- Collect and maintain all receipts from drivers
- Obtain haul permits in all states
- Manage funds to Missouri & Kansas permit accounts
- Maintain all trucking records
- Assist with & review driver logs for compliance
Education/Skills and Specifications:
- High School Degree (required)
- Bookkeeping experience (preferred)
- Basic math skills
- Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal
- Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record
- Very strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Must be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines and be available after normal business hours to resolve problematic delivery
- Creative problem solver
Position Requirements
- Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen
