Lube Mechanic

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and servicing of heavy equipment and machinery in field and shop.
- Check and replace engine oils, hydraulic fluids, coolants, and other necessary fluids.
- Identify mechanical issues and perform minor repairs on-site.
- Follow safety protocols when handling hazardous materials and operating machinery.
- Document services performed, including fluid levels, replaced parts, and any repairs made.
- Manage stock levels of lubricants, filters, and parts in the service truck.
- Communicate with equipment operators and site managers regarding service needs and equipment status.
- Provide on-site emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of all tools and equipment in the lube truck.
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Skills and Specifications:
- High School Degree (preferred)
- 2-5 years of experience as a mechanic or mechanic’s helper OR a technical university degree or certificate
- Basic or advanced math skills
- General knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Ability to work with different construction equipment/tools
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to effectively communicate with crew, contractors and Job Superintendent(s)
- Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal
- Possess necessary communication skills in both written and verbal forms
- Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record
- Must be able to work as a team on all projects
Position Requirements:
- Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Consent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request
- Class A CDL is required
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed
- Willingness to travel/work out of town
